Happy happy Monday Beautiful Tribies,

I hope you've had a wonderful weekend and laughed at least once.

My girlfriends and I were messaging last night and one of them had been to a waterpark with her family yesterday. She said she embraced her inner child and went on everything.

It reminded me of when I embraced my inner child and went on 2 slides last time I was at the waterpark and how much I squealed all the way down.  ha ha ha.

My other friend has recently been to Canada and the US and said she put in the effort to go on rides and be out of her comfort zone as often as she could. And she's done enough mum squeals for this whole year already ha ha.

Then we started laughing about mum squeals and sharing videos of ourselves mum squealing.

The 3 of us met when we were 12 so it's funny to be watching each other mum squeal ha ha.

Made me think of how often (or the lack of) I actually step out of my comfort zone and mum squeal.

I really want to make the effort to mum squeal more in 2024! (OMG that rhymes)

How much squealing out of your comfort zone do you want to do? (it's totally ok if you say none, but actively choosing how much you want is how we empower ourselves).

The other thing I wanted to share with you today is a conversation I had with my 7 year old son.

Background: I'm part of a local group in my community who regularly go down to the bay near my house and do a rubbish clean up (our little bay is popular with fisher people and not all of them respect and protect the environment and our local council doesn't do sufficient maintenance so we take our own action to get the results we want).

There was a clean up happening yesterday afternoon and I asked my 7yo if he wanted to come down with me and help clean up.

He said "what do I get?" (this response has been noted in my mental mum book of 'conversations to have with the kids to teach them a lesson').

I went to lecture him on all the reasons he should do it and paused then thought 'what is the outcome I get doing the clean up?'.

This helped me respond by really describing why I do it.

For me, I get the feeling in my body of pride, that I've done actions that support the local environment and community. I feel warm in my tummy. I also feel a sense of respect. I feel good in my body when I do these actions.
I also feel connected to the local community, always meet new people and learn new things.

I get to practice managing my mind and having loving conversations with people who are doing actions against my values (we chat to the fisher people trying to build relationships, we let them know what we're doing and kindly ask them to take their rubbish with them when they leave).

I surprised myself with the long list of 'what I get out of it' I was able to share with him.

I was thinking this morning about weight loss and the 'other reasons' I practice living life the way I want to live it.

For me it's so much greater than weight loss. (you might be thinking "that's easy for you to say, you've lost your weight" but I not at my original goal weight (it's no longer my ideal goal) and I don't really care.)

What do I get out of doing it?

I get to feel proud of myself.
Feel more energetic.
Learn to manage and practice managing my mind.
Learn to allow and practice allowing my feelings.
To live with greater wellbeing.
To choose to participate in activities if I want to (I'm not restricted physically by anything)
I get to build on my bank of muscles for when my body can't build them anymore.
I get to compete in events/races/challenges whenever I choose to.
I get to feel great about myself and my body.
Feel more confident.
Continually reflect and choose intentionally what I want for myself.
Set an example for those around me.
Practice loving myself even more.
Constant never-ending improvement on myself and my life which I love.
Ski if I want to when I'm 70.
Less aches and pains in my body.
Procrastinate by mowing the lawn right through into my 80s.
Play soccer and be competitive at it, as long as I choose to.
Improve mental health, emotional health and physical health.

Gosh the list really is infinite.

It's so helpful for me to look at all the results I get just from continued practice of the 4 steps:
1. Know what you want.
2. Set a plan.
3. Show up to your plan.
4. Build confidence.

Do you have anything else you could add to this list?

Do you recognise you've already created, and/or you have the opportunity to create all of this and more just by practicing?

This Month we Deep Dive into Binge Eating, we'll embark on a deep dive into a topic that many of us have faced. We'll explore the underlying causes, triggers, and strategies to overcome binge eating episodes. This has been a game-changer for me on my journey from constant binge eating to not being able to remember the last time I binge ate. Life changing!

Private Coaching:

Do you ever feel like you're going around in circles not making progress?

We've all felt that way.

Or do you think there's a big personal obstacle that is holding you back?

I offer private coaching for any Tribie who feels like they need extra support and for whatever reason can't achieve the support on Group Coaching calls.

Here's some of the reasons Tribies have booked Private Coaching sessions with me:

- Had been a Tribie for a year and lost weight, kept it off but felt like they had plateaued and needed a kickstart. This client booked regular weekly 25 minute sessions.

- Prima who schedules a session to dive deep on obstacles anytime she feels she needs it. This Prima has been a private client for a number of years and books in her sessions randomly whenever needed.

- New Tribie who wanted one on one support along her journey. We started with 8 weekly 50 minute sessions and now do weekly 25 minute sessions.

- A Tribie who is steady with her weight loss and wanted life coaching. We meet weekly for 25 minute sessions.

- A Tribie who had a significant negative event in their life and wanted support. We met weekly for 50 minute sessions for 4 weeks and then switched to fortnightly 25 minute sessions ongoing.

- So many other reasons such as Parenting, work challenges, relationship challenges, help with planning etc.

As you can see, there's many different reasons and ways to use Private Coaching.

I offer blocks of 4 sessions at a time that can be used any way to suit you.
