I've had a couple of people asking for more information on the nutrition approach I'm following at the moment so I thought this was the best place to share more of an update here. 

NOTE: I'm testing this out on myself, I'm not saying you should change everything you're doing. We've spent a lot of time finding what works for us. I got to the point where I felt like I needed to change a couple of things to find what works for the next version of me I want to be. And that's what this is. 
I'm still using of the Thought Work and Feelings Work, I will always need to do those to help me show up with a managed mind and emotions (me leading them, not them leading me).  

This year my focus is on improving my metabolic health, increasing lean muscle mass and losing fat instead of weight.

I feel like I lost a fair bit of muscle since starting in 2019 and I really want to regain it (and more). 

I wasn't in the past as worried as weight loss was most important to me but over the past year (and as I move further into my 40's) I'm realising the importance of muscle and strength for my health-span not just lifespan. 

I want to walk holding myself tall and supporting myself well for as long as I can. I want my big and little muscles to be strong and active. 

I want to nourish my body, feel vibrant and healthy and have flexibility in there to indulge as well. 

And most importantly I want to continue to feel freedom and calm around food with even greater physical results. 

So I've been using an app called Carbon Diet Coach which is an AI tool that calculates how many calories and how much protein I should aim for each day. It helps me collect the data that will be valuable in making decisions and tweaking what I'm doing. 

My goal is to lose 10-15lbs and then do what they call a 'reverse diet' to increase my daily calorie amount without gaining weight. 

I've set the weekly goal of 600g loss a week. This feels VERY SLOW to me but I have trust in the process. 

I'm eating about 1600 calories a day which includes 130g of protein. 

It's been 2 weeks, I'm down about 800g and I'm feeling FANTASTIC. 

Don't get me wrong, I've had days of doubt and worry, where I thought I'd wasted time and would regain kilos. 

But when I look over the 2 weeks (just 2 weeks, it has sometimes felt like months ha ha) my weight has been WAY more stable than it was before. It's no longer swinging up and down 2kg + in a day. I don't even think it's gone above 1kg increase overnight (which is unusual for me). 

As I said, this is all a trial. I'm trying to be a 'Compassionate Scientist' in experimenting and testing, collecting data and forming hypothesis.

Please feel free to ask me questions. I'm an open book, I want you to witness me trialling, failing, testing, succeeding and figuring things out. 


This week we're continuing our Deep Diving into Binge Eating.

Over the past 4 weeks we've:

Week 1: We started with an overview of what Binge Eating is and what it might look like and sound like. 

We looked at what progress looks like in terms of improving binge eating, the Change Formula, and then explored some questions to build awareness around binge eating in our own lives. 

Week 2:  We dove deeper into the Change Formula steps 'Awareness' and 'Knowledge' and I helped you uncover gold nuggets that you can use in future to reduce Binge Eating. 

Week 3: we're continued to build 'knowledge' and empower ourselves as we focus on feelings and thoughts. 

Week 4: Pulled it all together looking at the final piece of the Change Formula - Step Forward.

Private Coaching:

Do you ever feel like you're going around in circles not making progress?

I offer private coaching for any Tribie who feels like they need extra support and for whatever reason can't achieve the support on Group Coaching calls. 

Here's some of the reasons Tribies have booked Private Coaching sessions with me:

- Had been a Tribie for a year and lost weight, kept it off but felt like they had plateaued and needed a kickstart. This client booked regular weekly 25 minute sessions.

- Prima who schedules a session to dive deep on obstacles anytime she feels she needs it. This Prima has been a private client for a number of years and books in her sessions randomly whenever needed. 

- New Tribie who wanted one on one support along her journey. We started with 8 weekly 50 minute sessions and now do weekly 25 minute sessions. 

- A Tribie who is steady with her weight loss and wanted life coaching. We meet weekly for 25 minute sessions. 

- A Tribie who had a significant negative event in their life and wanted support. We met weekly for 50 minute sessions for 4 weeks and then switched to fortnightly 25 minute sessions ongoing. 

- So many other reasons such as Parenting, work challenges, relationship challenges, help with planning etc.

As you can see, there's many different reasons and ways to use Private Coaching. 

I offer blocks of 4 sessions at a time that can be used any way to suit you.
