A note from Lindell:

 The Fast Mama Tribe turned 4 on the 7th July! 

I really can't believe it!

Over the past 4 years there have been many lessons learnt and taught, pounds lost, ah ha moments of awareness and personal growth achieved. 


Who I was when I started the Fast Mama Tribe 4 years ago and who I am today are 2 very different versions of me.


I really can't believe the personal growth I've achieved over that time and all because of the desire and decision I made on 13th January 2019 to lose weight.


As I have evolved, grown and progressed so has the Fast Mama Program and all the beautiful individuals within it. 


I've been reflecting on the past 4 years and spending time considering plans for the next 4 years ahead (and beyond).


And I want to include you in the planning too. 


My goal for the Fast Mama Program is to help women who have experienced struggles and challenges with weight loss, create calm and freedom in their lives around weight and food. To help them achieve weight loss in a way that they can live and maintain with ease and to learn how to support themselves physically, mentally and emotionally. 


I'd love to hear from you as to what you want for yourself, and how you think the Fast Mama Program can best support and serve you.


I'd also love your input on our name 'Fast Mama Tribe'.

 30 Day Focus - Allow your Feelings

This months focus is on Step 4 - Allow your Feelings. 

Watch Group Coaching #2 from last week for a guided practice of allowing your feelings.

Once you learn the HOW you need to start the PRACTICE.

Going from eating your feelings or avoiding them straight to allowing them freely and consistently is a massive change that won't last. It's just like going from eating all the things - to a restricted diet. 

You need to practice to create the habit of change.

We want to start with 'better than average' and '1% change'. That way it will be easier to continue and will eventually become a habit, natural instinct for your brain and body to do. 

So to get you started (or continuing with your practice) I've updated the our Pause Method to a new 'Pause Practice'.

Member Spotlight: 

Lucy Knowles

This week I want to spotlight Lucy who has been practicing maintenance for a while now. Lucy is active in our Prima Maintenance group and this last week shared:

Morning everyone, I am just having a lazy Sunday morning coffee and reflecting on my last 6 months and how much has happened…it really has been such a positive choice removing alcohol from my life, but I don’t want to bore on about that, but I will  just take a moment to celebrate my weight loss wins!
I have gradually lost 21lbs (9.5kg) over the last 6 months and achieved a Prima 3 of 9 1/2 stone (which I am currently sitting a few pounds under which is a very nice place to sit!😌).
I still think about calories, but in a very relaxed way, I feel very free regarding food and drink and I am making my own rules for how I want to be, building on all my experience of healthy eating and exercising.
I still have very hard times and very big emotions that challenge me greatly, but I am building confidence and strength in my abilities to navigate those times and always knowing I have an emotional ‘tool kit’ (that I learnt from Fast Mama) to fall back on helps greatly.
I feel so happy to be where I am, but I still occasionally look at my body and the loose stretched out skin and feel a little upset by it…with thoughts like, ‘that doesn’t look great’, and ‘oh my that ages me’ …I am aware of those thoughts and I am letting them be there…they sit alongside the positive thoughts that I have and I have many, many more positive than negative!😊
Anyway, just thought I’d share this here because this is where I am at currently in my journey and I didn’t know whether to share or not but I have been really working hard at creating a new way of approaching life this year so far and I feel proud of the direction in which I am going xx

I want to first say a massive well done to Lucy for her practice and progress. So awesome. 

Also I share this to highlight that there will great triumph and progress on your journey AND challenges with difficult times too. You will always have feelings and thoughts. 
Here in the Fast Mama Program we equip you with tools and techniques to manage your mind and allow your feelings instead of living a life of beating yourself up, listening to the sneaky monkey brain and shoving your feelings down with food.
