Tribe News - 6th February 2023

Imagine waking up next Monday feeling light, energetic and proud. 
So damn proud of yourself and the week you've had. 

You had a week feeling ease and flow, living life how you want to live it, setting your plan and showing up to it (maybe imperfect at times but that didn't slow you down). 

You caught thoughts that weren't serving you and you changed them, you had grace and compassion for yourself when your human brain was a human brain, if you ever felt stuck you reached out for coaching or support from the Tribe and you showed up as the version of you you want to be. 

Imagine it. 

Now imagine 2 weeks from now, doubling that feeling. Having 2 amazing weeks of progress. 

That's what creates those feelings, progress.

We're halfway through the 28 Day Boost, that's 2 weeks to go to the final check in. 

Step up my friends and let's create the 2 weeks we want to live. One day at a time.

Tuesday and Wednesday this week I'll be hosting 2 Days 2 Great in our Facebook Group.

2 Days 2 Great for me means 2 Fast Days.

You get to decide what it means for you. There's no wrong answer.

Here's how you participate.

1. Comment on the Facebook Post if you're joining us for 2 Days For Great.

2. Monday night comment and share your plan for Tuesday.

3. Tuesday morning comment with how you're feeling and your plan for the day.

4. Anytime you feel a check in will help you, comment below during your day.

5. Announce your kitchen is closed for Tuesday and share your plan for Wednesday.

6. Wednesday morning comment with how you're feeling and your plan for the day.

7. Anytime you feel a check in will help you, comment below during your day.

8. Announce your kitchen is closed for Wednesday and what your plan is for Thursday.

Buddies:

 

A BUDDY IS SOMEONE YOU SHARE YOUR JOURNEY.

**This is one of the best gifts you can give yourself.**

Someone who understands you, who holds you accountable, who checks in on you if you've been missing in action, and who you can share wins and falls with.

They know what you're going through, because they are too, no matter what weight each of you are at, the challenges are similar.

I've had a number of accountability buddies over my journey. Some at the same time, some every other month. I've found the switch in buddies has helped me keep motivated.

If you want to switch it up you can, if you want to keep your current buddy you can do that too.

Here in the Fast Mama Tribe it’s not personal if you want to explore. It can be motivating switching it up.

Find a partner that works for you. Try on different buddies, maybe a new buddy each month will motivate you most.

Like a good pair of jeans, find what fits you best.

Tribie Spotlight: 

 Here in the Tribe we're about permanent weight loss and how we achieve that is through changing our mindset. The first stage of change is awareness and today's Tribie spotlight sparkles with growth in awareness. Here's what the absolutely amazing Dianne shared in her display of growth this week:

Have to share this ( inside my brain) as I am still trying to work it all out in my head. It’s a long one 👀. I’m working hard not to apologise here 😂😂. I haven’t been able to make coaching much otherwise I’d have shared it on a call ðŸĪŠ
So I’ve been in a state of flux for the past 6 weeks in relation to my work and I‘ve been extra stressed and emotional. As a result I’ve only truly realised how much I buffer my emotions with food . All emotions basically except sadness.  Happy , excited , anxious , frustrated, etc etc. I’ve been emotionally eating but almost having my watcher saying ”you know your emotionally eating just now and it’s not going to fill that hole you are trying to fill” and I’m thinking yes but the train has left the station and I am on it . I’ll stop afterwards and won’t do it again I’ll just have this moment to myself . I’m choosing to numb or relieve myself .
Then that’s exactly what happens the hole returns and meanwhile I’m left feeling jittery from the sugars or headache , sick and disappointment. I say ok that didn’t help now you know you’ve learned your lesson and let’s not do that again .
Half an hour later … I’m repeating the same thing and feel even worse as I should know better but convince myself maybe this will be different and I just want the comfort.
Rinse and repeat !
The wins - I’m aware , I’m talking back to myself , tonight I stopped myself buying off plan foods and told myself “this is not going to help it won’t fill this hole”
I even explained it all to my husband and said I think I’m in denial about
1. My feelings and feel I just need to get on with it and stop indulging in my feelings , being needy, emotional or a drama lama.
2. Eating my feelings ( sugar and savoury but mostly sugar ) I imagine the sense of relief eating an iced cake would give me I can feel it.
3. Noticing I have feelings basically when I eat off plan mindlessly I’m surprised as I haven’t realised this is the case as I must be wanting to buffer my feelings away and seek comfort. I almost don’t believe it. I have to keep reminding myself.
4. The job situation has a positive outcome and it’s almost like I’m telling myself stop being so emotional and get on with it your so sensitive. Stop making this into a big deal.
5. I can hear Lindell saying “process the emotion” I know but I don’t want to .. why not !! Am I rebelling? Why not lazy , buffering? Too hard ? Requires effort ?
Layer on top of all that
- Shame ( though im getting better at that)
- Messing up my mini goal plans feeling disappointed
- here we go again
- I’m doing a show on stage and now worried I’m going to continue to mess up and not reach my goal for that and I’ll feel less comfortable on stage. Although setting a goal for that makes me feel like I’m confirming to society ( i rebelled against that for my wedding day too I didn’t diet for my wedding but was a size 12 ish so felt not bad)!
But that’s not going to be the case as I know I’m learning lessons for life that will get and keep me at prima . I love myself now I won’t worry what people will think. I will do some models and then come up with a realistic plan , power thoughts , mini goals .
I am where I need to be. I will move forward from here. If your still with me you deserve a medal. Thought download 🧐👀👍âĪïļðŸ‘oh and I will commit to feeling my feelings 👍 then process x I’m on plan now .. in bed 😄

 

This increased awareness is what allows the permanent change to happen, bit by bit.
