Happy Monday Tribies! 

How are you?

How are you feeling?

How are you doing?

What is your brain saying to you this week? 

What thoughts are getting the most air time in your brain this week? 

It's such an interesting time of year where we have old habits and thoughts that have been so well practiced, we have new thoughts and habits we've been practicing and are wanting to keep practicing, we have lot's of feelings and emotions come up with this time of year, lot's of 'other people' around who we might have lot's of thoughts about too. 

Then we have our thoughts about other peoples thoughts about us. 

Whoa, I'm tired thinking about it all. 

What I want to share with you today is something I saw a beautiful Tribie do this weeek...
The circle of control. 
Listing out what you have control of and what you have no control of. 
So often just this one activity really helps us empower ourselves and reduce so much worry and stress. 

So I really want to encourage you to think about what's in your control over the coming week. 

The second thing I want you to do is to just aim for your behaviour this Christmas to be better than last years. That could mean just 1 less drink or 1 less mince pie. Just a little bit better than last year is the minimum I want you to have. 

If you want to make significant changes (compared to your past) GO FOR IT! I'm right there with you.
Even though I've been practicing maintenance for 3 years now, I've never changed my Christmas behaviour. 
I can say now that I've certainly had a different lead up to Christmas than my average past lead ups. 
I'm looking forward to a different Christmas week too, 

Here's my guidelines for myself:
Plan each day even if it's an exception day.
I can have anything I want as long as it's on my plan. 
Eat to +5 on the hunger scale. Never past. 
Move daily - walk or yoga. 
Do lot's and lot's of self coaching ha ha I'm going to need this not for weight but for showing up as the version of me I want to be. Accepting and loving. 

Spend some time thinking about your week ahead, what do you want it to look like?

Who do you want to be?

Visualise yourself showing up as that version of you. 

and

Light up your life.

Coaching coaching coaching

 

As we travel through the holiday season and life generally, there's always going to be things that come up that you require coaching on. An outside perspective. 

Even Amanda and I do. 

We require someone to look in on our brains and poke around, shift a few things and help us look at the different angles we haven't' been able to see ourselves. 

Come to coaching this week, bring your butterfly soup brains (I'm pretty sure that's what Amanda calls it ha ha) and let's coach. 

 

 

 

 

Tribie Spotlight: Dorothy 

Today we celebrate the beautiful Dorothy who acknowledged her 2 year primaversary this past week. 

Here was Dorothy's check in on the day, one filled with so much growth and wisdom:

Today is my 2 year Prima Anniversary. I spent 1 year at the same weight in maintenance and then went up in weight by 5 pounds between Christmas and New Years 2021. I  actually have maintained the same elevated by 5 pound weight for a year. Am I losing...NO, am I unhappy where I am at...a little bit, am I stronger than I was 2 years ago...ABSOLUTELY, do I want to weigh less....ABSOLUTELY, am I calmer than I used to be...ABSOLUTELY. I got to goal weight very slowly and with grit and determination. I am now learning the 6 steps, leaning into the emotions and feelings, and learning the HWC and LWC. Wow am I ever in a good spot now....even 5 pounds heavier. Just want to say thank you tribies for being here and looking after yourselves. We are so worth it and we couldn't have a better coach !!! Thank you Lindell.

A MASSIVE congratulations Dorothy, no matter what life dishes up for you, you always come back and reconnect with the Tribe and your goals. Well done on the past 2+ years of creating the life you want to live. Absolutely shining bright.
