Tribe News - 12th December 2022

Happy Monday Tribies! 

We are on our way to the 5th of January 💃

Did you start our 31 Days of Practice and stop? 
You know what, that's totally ok. There's no shame in that. Heck, I stopped practicing sometime over the past week too. And I started again. Because that's all we need to do. Practice. When we forget, we start practicing again. 
Remember this is your last start. You've had it. So any time you stop practicing, you don't need to 'Restart' or 'Find another diet to follow', you just need to start practicing again. 

It's like falling over in a marathon. You don't stay on the ground, you don't find an alternate route, you get back up, we help you get back up, and you keep moving forward. 

If you've stopped practicing, please just start again. 

You don't even have to be doing a 'Fast Plan' through these 31 Days of Practice. All you need to do is:
💛 Set a goal for 5th Jan. 
💛 Set a plan each day (can be an exception plan too, with pies and puddings and chocolates etc)
💛 Record how you showed up each day. 

The whole point of 31 Days of Practice is to practice living life the way you want to live it, intentionally. 

If you set a plan with all the exceptions you want to have, and you show up to that plan, I totally believe you will be in a better place on January 5th than if you didn't set a plan. I believe you will eat less, just by setting a plan with all the things you want to eat. 

I believe if you don't set a plan you will eat a lot more. Even if you put every exception you can possibly think of on you plan. 

You will avoid feeling self loathing and disappointment. You will reduce the chance of your brain talking mean to you, telling you you're never going to make it or that you're worthless. 

Setting a plan, no matter what you put on it, and showing up to that plan, creates evidence for your brain that you are someone who can set a plan and show up. 

Imagine getting to 5th January with such solid belief in yourself and your ability to show up to your plan. 

We can work on all the 'but's' that your brain comes up with when we get to January 5th. 

For now, let's focus on the practice of setting a plan and showing up to it. 

I've already said it and I'll say it again, I believe you will be in a much better position January 5th just by doing this. 


If you've started the 31 Days of Practice and you're still practicing, AWESOME! Keep going! Your future self is so grateful. 
Keep setting your plan. 
Keep showing up.
Keep stepping forward. 


In today's newsletter I also wanted to speak about results. 
I was thinking about what results I want for you all. 

I know you're here for weight loss. And I 100% believe I can help each of you achieve the goal weight you want to achieve (by following the 6 Step Process). 

I was thinking though, about the different ways you can achieve that results. 

You can get to prima and be your goal weight and feel scared about trying to maintain, on edge about gaining all the weight again if you lose control of your mind or determination. 
You can be at Prima goal weight and feel like it's all so much effort, it's been such an effort to get to Prima and it will continue to be an effort to maintain. 

Or, with practice and progress along the journey:

You can get to prima and be at your goal weight with confidence that you will maintain. With a calm knowing that you are living life the way you want to live it and you will keep doing it. That if you do every have a moment of worry or uncertainty you have the tools you need to come back to the calm knowing and confidence. You can be at prima goal weight with ease and flow, thriving and shining bright. 

So while 'Prima Goal Weight' is why everyone is here, being at Prima and shining bright with ease and flow is why I'm here for you. 

I am great at motivating people. I am an awesome cheerer and I can fuel you with enthusiasm and positive affirmations every single day. But it won't help you life long. It won't have you shining bright with confidence and goal weight. 

I want to teach you to be here for you, to use the tools yourself, to get to goal weight with confidence and a knowing that you are the person who makes the difference in your life, that you know exactly what you want and who you want to be and YOU are claiming that for yourself. 

Yes I LOVE Prima's staying with us in the Tribe. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. But I love it for the reason that they continue to practice the tools, that they set themselves new goals, to shine even brighter than they imagined was possible, in so many areas of life, not just health. 

All of this is created through practice. 

I hope I've sold the value of practice to you today. 

Let's keep practicing together.

We will continue to practice. On our group coaching calls there will be coaching. 
No new tools. You have EVERYTHING you need in the 6 Step Process and our Tribe. 
Come to coaching, bring any thoughts you have observed that might not be serving you. Bring any new awareness that might help the rest of the Tribe by sharing, bring yourself, show up and let's keep you tracking towards your Prima Goal Weight. 

 

 

Tribie Spotlight: Diane Webb and Kellie 

 The 2 Tribies we're highlighting today have been practicing all year. They keep showing up for themselves no matter what. Through ups and downs they have shown up all year and I really want to shine a very Bright light on them today.


Diane Webb:

"Whoop whoop after deciding to go for it these past few weeks and bat away the negative thoughts I’ve continued to trend down on the scales and I’m at a number I’ve been trying to reach all year ! 5lbs loss in 2 weeks but I’ve still go my eyes on the prize of my mini goal . This is my current thought “This is important to me I want this if I pause and check in it is so good for me” . Part of me felt what’s the point I’m kidding myself on and it’s so near to Christmas but I’ve  batted these thoights away I notice o get so many 👀I decided this time will be different and I’m going for it . Not white knuckling but intentional 👍"

D28 - feeling fabulous - yesterday was a great day - cherries only exception to plan - could have eaten massive quantity but had 5 cherries (1 handful) and savoured the flavour of locally grown 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒

D27 - another great day on plan. The only exception was reaching for a Coke No Sugar after having lunch out "I better buy that now so I don't have to stop at a shop on the way home". Thing is I wouldn't have stopped at a shop to buy a Coke!!!! I can  claim awareness of the thought because I bought the Coke 😂😂

D26 - had a good day yesterday 80% - caught a cheeky thought "fruit is good for you, you can eat it all" as I bought 2kg of premium grade cherries from the orchard
I have brown paper bags with cherries as a gift for multiple friends today - the joy of  giving - and I get to enjoy cherries, "I can eat as many cherries as I like as long as I am hungry and really want them" 💞❤🍒❤
 
D25 in my countdown to 5th Jan - yesterday I was on plan - cherries reached friends and cherry crisis averted 😂
Degustation dinner with girlfriends last night [savouring every mouthful of food, eating with all your senses and taking your time over  delicious food in great company] - I didn't ever feel over 4/10 until dessert (course 7) - 5 mini desserts on my plate - had I been paying attention I would have stopped at eating 3 of them [but I couldn't choose at the time] - hunger scale 5/10 - I was comfortable again in about 30 minutes so that's ok 💞❤
Weight steady
I have my birthday weekend to celebrate - heading to the seaside for 3 days and I plan to be intentional about each day 🥳💞❤
 
D24 - had my favourite duck red curry at my favourite thai restaurant with my sister's family last night [it doesn't get any better] - practising hunger scale - yay 4 /10 - left comfortable ❤💞❤
Plan made for today - eat nourishing food and practise  hunger scale, drink more water ❤💞❤

D23 in my countdown - I am living the life I want to live - I am practising the hunger scale and feeling great - I'm so grateful I found Lindell and the tribe - especially today. I'm so grateful today for all the good people and things in my life - I  am learning I'm worthy 🥳🥳🥳

 

Ladies, you're both an example of finding what works for you, showing up and stepping forward no matter what. You keep practicing and I've witnessed this year, not only a change on your scales but a change in who you are. The support you provide other Tribies is so wonderful (I often go to comment but read yours and think "I don't have anything to add"). Well done Diane and Kellie. Keep being your awesome selves.

When Women Come Together

When women come together
something magical happens
it's science, the mystical kind
an unstoppable force
to be reckoned with. 

When women come together
they connect
on a deeper level
both spiritually and cellulary
souls nodding in alignment
I see you. 

Put women together for long enough
and their cycles may sync
if that is not an example 
of the wonderous, connective
majesty of womanhood
what is my friend, what is?

When women come together
an unseen wall is fashioned
built from the wisdom of the breaks
we have all endured
and the passion to scream louder
so that those beneath us can hear
and need not suffer the same.

When women come together
and tell their stories
the good and the bad
the power created
is a tsunami of strength
and intuition
washing us all on
to better things
a wave of magnificence
wisdom and sisterhood. 

When women come together
we are, quite frankly
intimidating. 

So watch out for those
who will keep us apart. 

They are afraid
but we are not.
